Metal alloy sacrificial anode
Metal alloy sacrificial anode, which is used to prevent the surface corrosion of materials with low activity. Sacrificial anode is made of metal alloy, and its electrochemical potential energy is more negative than that of other metals. The sacrificial anode will be consumed instead of the metal it protects, which is why it is called "sacrificial" anode. When metal surfaces come into contact with electrolytes, they undergo an electrochemical reaction called corrosion.
Metal alloy sacrificial anode
Corrosion is the process of returning metal to its natural state as ore, and in this process, metal decomposes and its structure weakens. These metal surfaces are all around us - sacrificial anode manufacturers, from pipes to buildings to ships. It's important to make these metals last as long as possible. One example is metals in seawater, where iron is in contact with electrolytes. Under normal conditions, iron metal generally reacts with electrolyte and begins to corrode, and the structure becomes more and more fragile and disintegrated. The addition of zinc (a form of zinc) is "corrosive". According to the standard reduction potential table, the standard reduction potential of zinc is about -0.76 v. The standard reduction potential of iron is about -0.44 v. This difference in reduction potential means that the oxidation rate of zinc is much faster than that of iron. In fact, zinc oxidizes before iron starts to react. The materials used for sacrificial anodes are relatively pure active metals, such as zinc or magnesium, or magnesium or aluminum alloys developed for sacrificial anodes.
